Rice Verde One Pot Ingredients
- 50 g/2 oz butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 200 g/7 oz cold cooked long-grain rice
- 275 g/10 oz spinach, chopped
- 225 ml/8 fl oz milk
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 225 g/8 oz Cheddar cheese, grated
Rice Verde One Pot Recipe
Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas mark 4.
Melt the butter in a large casserole dish and sauté the onion until it is transparent. Stir in the rice, spinach, milk, egg, salt and cheese. Mix well with a fork.
Cover and bake for about 30 minutes, until the mixture is hot and the top is crisp.
